Alpha Lipoic Acid- In first clinical trials, alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), managed to restore full liver function to 95% of the acute and severe liver damaged patients, when administered intravenously. Curative effects of ALA have been defined by the modulative regulation in eukaryotes. Lipoic acid has shown the ability to promote and boost the absorption of glucose to cell membranes; furthermore laboratory studies have shown that it can reduce triglycerides in blood. Besides the obviously high efficacy as an antioxidant, ALA has shown to be able to prevent vitamin C and vitamin E deficiency, the use as a chelator is still in the test phase; ALA in combination with L-carnitine shows improved mental performances in tests, paired with a postponed structural mitochondrial decay, making it a candidate in combating Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
Cayenne, which contains Capsaicin, a thermogenic substance. A thermogenic raises your core temperature, which allows you to burn more calories from food, particularly when eating a high fat meal.
Chromium.

Iodine, a necessary element used by the body to make the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine. These Thyroid hormones are needed to maintain a healthy metabolic rate and cellular metabolism.
Licorice Root is widely used not only in syrups and lozenges to soothen sore throats but also to treat chronic fatigue syndrome, in preventing cavities and fibromyalgia. Licorice is a natural laxative and an excellent source of iron too. It helps treat eczema and improves the body’s immunity. Licorice roots contain glycyrrhizin; which works as an expectorant and loosens the mucus. When taken in large doses the compound glycyrrhizin, which is one the most active element in licorice root can cause potassium deficiency and inhibits the natural ability of the body to reduce blood pressure. Licorice root is available in many forms – drops, wafers, tea bags, loose tea, mouthwashes and caplets. The root is also available in the form of a regular snack in the form of licorice sticks.
Niacin is a vitamin that wards against pellagra, a disease characterized by a vitamin B3 deficiency. Niacin is made from pyridine and is often called vitamin B3 or nicotinamide, because they all three have similar formulas. Niacin and nicotinamide are comparable in make up, but only niacin works to lower cholesterol levels. The restoration of DNA is also known to be a positive side effect of taking niacin. A fairly large number of individuals, particularly those in third world countries or those suffering from alcoholism, have been shown to be lacking in niacin. Niacin is often taken as a supplement by those with high cholesterol levels, as it has been proven to lower “bad” cholesterol and raise “good” cholesterol.
Octacosanol
Panax Ginseng, also called Korean Ginseng, it is the most commonly used ginseng. Panax Ginseng is an adaptogen believed to help "balance" the body and lower stress. Panax Ginseng may also help regulate the immune system.
Potassium, a mineral that is quite common in our food. Potassium is needed for proper muscle growth, nervous system and brain function and to help balance the PH of our bodies.
Rhodiola , popularly known as the “golden root” in Russia has been considered an effective treatment for stress and depression. This adaptogenic herb enhances resistance without changing the normal biological function of the body. Rhodiola is found in Asia and Europe’s artic areas at high altitudes. Scandinavian and Russian countries have been using its roots to cure poor attention span and fatigue for centuries. Rhodiola rosea is also effective in improving mood by enhancing mental and physical performance. There are several compounds in Rhodiola rosea which makes it so effective. It includes rosavins along with active components like tyrosol and rhodioloside. This supplement is available in the form of tablet or capsules that can be taken once or twice on a daily basis. You can also increase the dosage if needed.
Riboflavin, an easily absorbed micronutrient, is also known by the name of Vitamin B2. It plays a key role in maintaining the health of animals as well as humans. A wide variety if cellular processes require this vitamin. It plays a key role in energy metabolism, just like other B vitamins. It is the kind of micronutrient which required for the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and ketone bodies. There are a lot of food products that are a good source of Vitamin B2. Matured soybeans, yeast, mushroom, livers, kidneys, leafy vegetables, milk, cheese, almonds are such products that are rich in this vitamin. But riboflavin does get destroyed if exposed to light. Riboflavin is a non toxic vitamin. Hence, there is no harm in taking it orally.
Vitamin B1, or rather the Vitamin B complex, is a group of vitamins that are all soluble in water and very often coexist in food sources. While every single Vitamin from the B complex group has a name, they are very often referred to by the number added to the Vitamin B group name, like Vitamin B1, which is thiamine, or Vitamin B2, which is riboflavin. Some other compounds have been added to the Vitamin B group at some time, but were later dropped, like adenine, orotic acid or adenosine monophosphate, where later research found that they are either synthesized by the human body or simply no Vitamins. Vitamin B complex supports the metabolism rate, maintains muscle tone and skin, raises functions of the nervous system and the immune system, promotes red blood cells and cell growth and division and much more.
Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, which is naturally found in foods such as fish, milk and milk products, eggs, meat and poultry. Vitamin B12 is important for good health, necessary for the proper digestion and absorption of foods and for normal metabolism of carbohydrates, and fat. It helps maintain healthy nerve cells and red blood cells and is needed to make DNA. Vitamin B12 is bound to the protein in food. Hydrochloric acid in the stomach releases B12 from protein during digestion.
Unlike other water-soluble nutrients, vitamin B12 is stored in the liver, kidney, and other body tissues. It can take several years before signs of the deficiency appear due to poor dietary intake.
Vitamin B12 functions as a "methyl donor." A methyl donor is a compound that carries and donates methyl groups to other molecules, including cell membrane components and neurotransmitters. As a methyl donor vitamin B12 is involved in homocysteine metabolism and plays a critical role in proper energy metabolism, immune function, and nerve function. Therefore, vitamin B12 is clearly an added benefit for anyone wanting to lose weight, as without it, metabolism is not at its peak potential.
Vitamin B5, is water soluble and is needed by every cell in the body to maintain good health. It helps in breaking down carbohydrates, fats and proteins to provide the body with energy. It assists in the production of red blood cells and hormones and ensures a healthy pregnancy. It is also known to lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels in the body. It helps in reducing stress and treating people with rheumatoid arthritis.
Pantothenic acid is found in small quantities in almost all foods but abundantly in meats, fish, poultry, avocados, peas, broccoli and whole grains. A deficiency which is rare, leads to leg cramps, gastrointestinal problems, anemia, insomnia, depression, a burning sensation in the limbs and a weakened immune system.
Vitamin B6 is important to a healthy human diet and is equally important in various metabolic and synthesis functions as well as gene expression.
Vitamin E consists of eight related vitamins that are all fat soluble and have antioxidant properties. The alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocopherols with the corresponding tocotrienols all belong to the Vitamin E group, whereby the alpha-tocopherol has been found to be the most bioavailable form. Vitamin E is commonly found in food sources like eggs, milk, nuts, seeds, vegetable oil like olive oil, wholegrain foods, wheat germ, red palm oil, but also in asparagus and avocado fruits. While Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant, several other properties have been noted as well, such as prevention of damage to neurons, cholesterol reduction and cancer prevention. Vitamin E has been also identified as a vital signaling molecule, whereby the primary necessity of Vitamin E to human survival is still not clear.
