Ingredients and Descriptions
Caffeine is of course a major component of every day drinks such as tea and coffee and is also included in Basic Cuts. It is claimed that over 70% of the American population take more than 300 milligrams daily. As well as in familiar drinks it is used in energy drinks such as Red Bull as well as in many over the counter analgesics and other medication. Medically it is a as trimethylxanthine, useful as a heart stimulant and it also works as a mild diuretic. It works in the same way as certain drugs, the amphetamines, cocaine, and heroin, all of which work on the action of the brain although in a milder way, and like them it is addictive.
Cayenne- Most of us are aware of the wonders of the hot cayenne, which belongs to the family of capsicum. This herb is mainly used for culinary and health purpose. As compared to black pepper and chilies, it contains less irritating properties. Cayenne when taken naturally works as a natural stimulant and is beneficial for pancreas, kidney and spleen. Cayenne can be taken in herbal tea form, as a natural energy booster or as a capsule to cure yellow fever. Since cayenne contains antiseptic properties it is an effective remedy for sore throats and is used as a gargle. It aids digestion and stimulates saliva and stomach secretion. It also prevents heart attack, reduces cholesterol, allows proper absorption of vitamins, improves blood circulation and effectively clears the sinuses. In the past it was used as a cure for typhoid fever, diphtheria, pleurisy and pneumonia.
Hordenine, which is also known as N-Dimethyl-hydroxyphenylethylamine, is a phenylethylamine alkaloid, which naturally occurs in barley seeds, but also in several cactus plants. The phenomenal antibiotic and antibacterial properties have long been recognized by the medical community, where in particular penicillin resistant Staphylococcus bacteria can be successfully restrained. Hordenine stimulates norepinephrine release and is therefore deemed a direct central nervous system stimulant. Norepinephrine, in turn, is a hormone that works as a lipolytic, aiding in liberating the stored fat from the cells and make it available for burning during the workout. The body building community commonly uses Hordenine as a weight loss agent. Furthermore, it seems that Hordenine is slowing down the digestive process, thereby slowing down the calorie transfer, allowing the excess fat to be burned, while retaining the feeling of satiation.
PEA (Phenylethylamine), which is also known as Beta-Phenylethylamine, is a supplement, which favors aggression and is supposed to raise mental alertness, focus, and ability to concentrate. It is believed to also promote energy. In clinical trials it has been observed that infusion of Beta-Phenylethylamine raises the extracellular dopamine count, furthermore inhibiting the dopamine transmitter DA neuron firings. An additional activity is seen through the Beta-Phenylethylamine modulation of noradrenergic transmissions. It is viewed as a stimulant, but the lack or disturbed amounts of PEA have been observed in people with attention deficit and the hyperactivity disorders, people suffering from depression, schizophrenia, migraine and phenylketonuria. The obvious antidepressant qualities are paired with the increased wakefulness, which may lead to difficulty falling asleep, but improve motivation when exercising or training.
